WATCH: Lito Lapid, labis ang pasasalamat kay Coco Martin at sa FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano

Isabelle Francez Raymundo February 11,2019 10:22 PM

Bullets are not the only thing raining in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s recent episodes. Another one of our heroes has fallen and it is one of the most bitter farewells the cast and viewers have had to bid, so far.

From Leon to Romulo to Pinuno, Lito Lapid was referred to in different ways throughout the series. But more than these names, he will always be remembered as a fearless man who dedicated his life to his homeland.

Viewers would remember that he was originally Cardo’s enemy. When they first met, Cardo was still an SAF member while Romulo was leading rebel group Pulang Araw. Despite being on opposing sides, the two men were able to unite and form the vigilante group Vendetta. Since then, they have fought side by side with the goal of ending corruption in the country.

In honor of his role on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Dreamscape posted two videos dedicated to Lapid. The first was a montage of his best moments on the show. It ended with his voice over saying, “Kung mawawala ako sa mundong ito, ‘wag n'yo po sanang pababayaan si Diana. Ganoon na rin po si Cardo at ang buong Vendetta.”

In the caption, it says “Paalam, Pinuno. Maraming salamat sa pagiging bahagi ng FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Mr. Lito Lapid! Isa kang ALAMAT NG AKSYON!”.

As for the second video, which was captioned “Maraming salamat, Pinuno! Mahal ka namin!”, Lapid expressed his gratitude towards everyone who has been part of this journey with him. He thanked the staff, the network and most especially lead star Coco Martin, “[sa] bumubuo ng Probinsyano, lalong lalo na kay direk Coco.”

On a final note, he praised Coco for his part in the show’s success. “Napakagaling na bata nito. Saludo ‘ko sa kanya,” Lapid finished.
